Common Tuition Queries
Below you'll find answers to some common tuition queries:
Do tutors come to us or do we go to them?
If you have booked a face to face tutor then the tutor will come to you unless otherwise specified in our correspondence.
Is it online tuition only?
No, we do offer face to face but after the pandemic so many people have remained online as it allows them to support more students and also deliver a varied lesson for the students with resources on hand.
When should I book my tutor?
It’s never too early! Our busiest period of demand fluctuates throughout the year, we have many people booking in May for a September start for GCSE and A level students and for 11+ tuition usually the January to start in the September. Always drop us an email though as we are constantly taking on new tutors to support growing demand!
Is it just term time?
No, our tutors work all year round and can offer block bookings on holidays as well as regular sessions
What happens if my child is sick?
We require 24 hours to cancel your session without charge, this is simply because the tutor will have prepared for your session and would be unable to fill the space if you are absent at short notice.
How much notice do I need to give?
To cancel sessions completely we require one months written notice to ourselves in the office.
What if the student and tutor don’t align?
We understand that from time to time personalities aren’t the right match or the student may not gel with the tutor. This is human nature! If your student and tutor aren’t working out simply email Claire or Allicia and we will work on an alternative.
Will my tutor work with the school?
Absolutely! In fact our tutors enjoy working with the school so that they can see what needing work in the eyes of their subject teacher. This also encourages schools to work in partnership with the tutor!
